Group whips up a Fiori at Castle Ashby
The chamber group’s annual visit to St Mary Magdalen church in Castle Ashby is on Sunday July 24.
This summer the Fiori chamber orchestra will be performing Bach’s much loved Concerto in D minor for two violins – always a great favourite with audiences.

Fiori will be including in their programme an exquisite but rarely heard concerto for recorder by Telemann. In the hot seat for this will be recorder player Amanda Babington.
Further rarities this July are a concerto for violin and orchestra by Tartini (an Italian composer renowned for his so-called Devil’s Trill Sonata) and a concerto by the highly accomplished (but largely forgotten!) composer Georg Monn, performed by popular cellist Poppy Walshaw.
Punters are encouraged to bring a picnic and make the most of this special event. Picnics from 6pm.
