Man who carried out 11 burglaries in five months sentenced to nine years in prison
Brian Burke, aged 41, of Meadow Bank, Towcester, appeared at Northampton Crown Court on Wednesday after pleading guilty to 11 house burglaries, three motor vehicle thefts and several fraud and handling offences
The offences all happened between February and early June last year.

Hide AdAmong evidence presented in court was a statement from one of Burke’s victims, which discussed the impact of a burglary on their home, including the loss of irreplaceable sentimental items and photographs.
Detective Constable Helen Meeks said: “I’m satisfied that Burke has received a sentence that reflects the nature of the crimes he committed and I hope it helps provide some closure to the victims who have suffered as a result of his intrusion into their homes.”
