Grandmother pleads guilty to being in charge of dog that killed her baby granddaughter
Molly Mae Wotherspoon died following the attack by an American pit bull, called Bruiser, at a house in Morning Star Road, Daventry, on October 3, 2014.
Her grandmother Susan Aucott, aged 55, of Alfred Street, Northampton, pleaded not guilty to being in charge of the dog when it killed Molly at a court hearing last December.

Hide AdBut, at a hearing before a trial was due to start in the case today (Wednesday), Aucott changed her plea to guilty.
Molly’s mother Claire Riley, aged 23, of Merrydale Square, Southfields, Northampton, has pleaded not guilty to being the owner of the dog that killed her daughter.
A trial is due to start in her case at Northampton Crown Court on Monday. Aucott will be sentenced at a later date.
Molly Mae died on 3 October 2014 following the dog attack at her mother’s then home in Morning Star Road, Daventry. She was rushed to hospital where she died from severe blood loss from head wounds. The dog was put down at the scene.
